Re-fresh for 2015

Hello people of the Internet,
I know I have been really slack with updating but I will try a lot harder for the new year.
This is probably late but I really hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and an even better New Year!

Anyway, lately I have been feeling the urge to do something different to my bedroom. It just needs refreshing and some serious styling help!
I also thought it would be great to blog about it as the process will involve cost effectiveness!
It will be something that everyone will be able to follow and you many even be inspired to refresh your room! :) I also love DIY, so you can expect some tutorials for little projects that you can make yourself.

So this is my room currently, I have cleaned it up because normally you can hardly see the floor and at the moment I have beed pretty bored in the holidays.

The main thing that I am not happy with in my room is the major styling issue, because the vanity has gold trim with a curvy/swirly style, the bed is a more modern black/grey colour and also the bookshelf is quite modern too. And can we just take some time to look at the curtains. They are nice but just not for my room as I have nothing burgundy to match them.
Another thing that bugs me is the size of my room because I don't want to over-crowd it, but at the same time I just have too many big ideas! I really want to be able to figure out how to use the space to its full potential and create a space that I will love.

(I changed the handles but they are silver and not gold)

I have actually found that the higher bed closes in the room more which makes my already small room feel closed in. So in my opinion the my choice of bed wasn't very good. (Oh well we learn from our mistakes :D )
You know when your in a shop, and you see something then your like: "I MUST have that!!" , "It is PERFECT!!". Yeah well that is what I thinking when I saw this bed.
I think that everybody can relate to me when I say that changing the sheets or making the bed for a bunk or loft bed is difficult. I always dread the day when I have to change my sheets. I even pull my mattress up on its side just to get the fitted sheet on right, and by the time I am finished I'm pooped!! So done with this love/hate relationship!

I love trying to re-design my room though (even though my mum hates it!). I am just trying to find a way that I can use the space that I have and make it look really nice on a budget!

Bye see you soon :)

P.S. As of now I am sleeping in the floor as my bed has already been sold!
